On 10 October 2023, Watford Football Club was host to West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust’s Patient Safety Summit.

This event brought together healthcare organisations worldwide to share insights and collectively drive the narrative of superior Patient Care.

Global Voices on Patient Safety

An impressive attendance of over 400 delegates graced the occasion, with some participating in person and others connecting virtually.

The summit's reach was truly global, with voices contributing from distant shares like Brazil, showcasing the event's international significance.

John's day was full of enriching dialogues, most notably with some of the summit's key experts. Engaging discussions with Kelly McGovern (Chief Nurse at West Herts), Margarida Pacheco (Associate Chief Nurse for Quality and Assurance at West Herts), and Helen Hughes (Chief Executive of “Patient Safety and Learning”) were truly enlightening.

Across the board, there was palpable excitement about InPhase's capabilities, especially the system's user-friendly data input and the invaluable ability to triangulate data, spotlighting areas ripe for improvement.

A Furry Surprise Elevates Spirits

The day, rich in knowledge exchange, also had its heartwarming moments. A notable highlight? Chas, "The Well Being Dog" embodies positivity and mental wellness. Invited by the Trust, Chas's presence was a fitting ode to World Mental Health Day 2023, ensuring that the summit was not just about physical safety but also underscored the importance of mental well-being.
